Rod Stewart's wife Penny Lancaster shares loved up lockdown snap



Sir Rod Stewart’s other half Penny Lancaster has paid tribute to her husband in a loved-up photo of the couple.

The model posted the sweet snap of the pair kicking back in deckchairs on a beach, and holding hands as they look out to the water.

Penny, 49, said she was grateful to be with her Celtic-daft beloved during coronavirus lockdown, while also sending her best wishes to Prime Ministe r Boris Johnson as he battles the deadly bug.

The intimate Instagram insight into the megastar pair’s life was captioned “A listener needs a listener too.”

Underneath the image she added: “Glad I have this one! Hold on, for the future will be a better place and ‘We’ll meet again’.

“Praying Boris recovers soon.”

More than 3,500 people have liked the photo so far, with fans sending heartwarming messages to the happy couple.

One said: “I love everything about this photo. Stay Safe. Hope Boris recovers soon.”

One added: “Praying for Boris. But l must say that . That picture would make a good album cover.”

And another said: “Nice image, and how true is the caption.”

One added: “I bet Rod is singing to you.”

Meanwhile, Sir Rod has been using his time in coronavirus lockdown to have a right good spring clean at the pair’s Beverley Hills home.

The 75-year-old took the time to paint ‘Celtic’ on the door of a flatbed truck last week and shared images of himself on the back of it, surrounded by paint pots and other junk.

After being forced to cancel a raft of gigs due to the pandemic, the star hosted a glitzy Las Vegas party to celebrate wife Penny Lancaster’s 49th birthday just before lockdown measures were introduced in the US.
