Sir Rod Stewart, 76, said it was “chaos” trying to get sons Aiden, 10, and Alastair, 15, to school on time and revealed his eldest is picky about which car he takes. The rockstar gave fans an insight into his dilemma with wife Penny Lancaster, 50, on Magic Radio yesterday.
Speaking to breakfast presenters Ronan Keating and Harriet Scott, he said of their school day mornings: “It’s chaos, they’re never on time.
“I mean my son today, the 15-year-old, 15 minutes late today coming down and he comes down and I was going to take him in the Lamborghini, ‘Dad you can’t take me in that, you’re not going in that dad’.”
Rod went on to say the couple’s youngest son was the opposite and requested to be picked up in a Ferrari or Lamborghini.
“He loves it but the eldest one hates it,” the Maggie May hitmaker spilled.

The family of four live in a reported £4.65 million mansion in Penny’s hometown Essex, one of their many homes.
Speaking from their abode on Loose Women last year, the former model said she knew how “lucky” they were to have a big house during lockdown.
She said: “We always consider ourselves extremely lucky with this whole lockdown having a bigger property and land that we could stretch and get exercise.
“We’re always counting ourselves lucky.
She told the Sunday People: “Rod has always been like my third child and my most demanding boy out of the three.
“When Rod is on tour, in hotel rooms, and after the euphoria of a show, with millions of fans screaming ‘I love you’, he comes home and then he’s just Dad, he’s not Sir Rod Stewart anymore.
“It must be a bump back to earth. So he requires a lot of my attention.”
The singer is also father to six other children.
He shares 28-year-old daughter Renee and son Liam, 26, with his ex-wife Rachel Hunter, Kimberly and Sean with first wife Alana, daughters Ruby and Sarah from past relationships.
Rod tied the knot with Penny back in 2007.
They are reported to have first met at a party in 1998 where her friends asked him for his autograph.
Penny is Rod’s third wife, following his marriage to Alana Stewart and Rachel Hunter.
