Singer Rochelle Humes has opened up about the realities of post-partum life after giving birth to her son Blake, revealing that ‘no one really prepared’ her for hair loss.

The 32-year-old gave birth to son Blake in October 2020, and is already mum to Alaia-Mai, eight, and four-year-old Valentina with her husband of nine years, JLS singer Marvin Humes.

Revealing that her baby son has ‘slotted right in’ to their family routine and is ‘not fussy at all’, the former Saturdays singer said: ‘I don’t know if it’s because I trust myself and I know what to do, but he’s so chilled.’

However, the This Morning presenter, who will be on our screens next week alongside Vernon Kay, also got honest about some of the downsides of pregnancy as she spoke about her ambassadorship for JSHealth explaining that she ‘wanted a boost’ because her hair had ‘started to thin’ a few months post-pregnancy.

Speaking to The Irish Mirror, the star revealed: ‘I just feel like no one really prepared me for hair loss.

‘I was young when I had Alaia, so I didn’t really know about hair thinning and how hormones can affect it. My hair was incredible when I was pregnant – it was the best hair ever.

‘And then when I had Alaia, I remember being like, “Oh wow, OK. Well, that’s all gone”.

Rochelle went on to admit that, while she ‘wasn’t super down about it’, her hair loss was ‘definitely noticeable’.

She and Marvin, who also co-present The Hit List, previously revealed that they plan to renew their wedding vows next year for their 10th anniversary.

In an interview with The Sun, Marvin, who had explained how Alaia looks at photos from their big day and asks why she wasn’t there, said: ‘For us it would be great for the kids to see us get married and obviously they will be a big part of the day as well.

‘We are definitely going to do it but we don’t know where and to what level yet. But that’s on the card to celebrate ten years to renew our vows and almost do our wedding again.’

Marvin and Rochelle tied the knot in a swanky do at Blenheim Palace in 2012, but Marvin plans for 2022’s affair to ‘definitely be more low-key’.
