Robert Pattinson has a porn career lined up just in case The Batman turns out to be a failure. However, there’s not really a chance of that ever happening. DC fans have been wanting to see a new movie with the Caped Crusader in it for a few years now. Ben Affleck was supposed to continue on in the role, but things didn’t end up working out the way he thought they were going to go. Justice League came out, bombed, and now things need to be reassessed.
So, Pattinson is the next in line for the cape and cowl, and he’s currently preparing for what very well could be the movie of his career. But he’s not writing off the world of Porn if everything falls apart, which we doubt it will.
Like anybody else, Robert Pattinson has something to fall back on in case The Batman doesn’t work out. The actor says, “I’m always thinking that the worst-case scenario is actually going to happen. So when it does happen, I’m like: ‘Gah! OK! I’m prepared!'” A lot of people are attracted to Pattinson for his self-deprecating sense of humor, and it was on full display in a new interview. When asked what he’d do if The Batman doesn’t go well, he had a pretty humorous Pornhub ready answer. He explains.
“Porn. But art house porn.”
Robert Pattinson isn’t going to be doing Pornhub movies any time soon, that’s for sure. His latest role in The Lighthouse has been receiving critical acclaim and he nearly stole the show from Timothee Chalamet in Netflix’s The King. As for taking on The Batman, it just felt like something Pattinson wanted to do. He had this to say.
“I felt a connection to it, I don’t know why. I just really wanted it. I’m already remembering what it’s like to talk about a movie where there’s an expectation. Whenever you say anything, people are like, ‘Argh! You idiot!’ Like, dude, I haven’t even started yet! … But there is no harsher critic of myself than myself, so I don’t need to worry about anyone else.”
There’s a huge amount of expectation when taking on a role as big as this. Robert Pattinson is already sick of talking about The Batman and the cameras haven’t even started rolling yet. But, that was also a part of the gig from the start and the actor knows it. Pattinson is attracted to different roles to step out of his comfort zone. And porn certainly fills that term. He says, “I like characters who, when a situation is placed upon them, their decision-making process is incomprehensible.” He laughs. “I find it fascinating when people make bad decisions. The humor and the befuddlement.”
Bruce Wayne has been known to make a few bad decisions and this could very well be something we see in The Batman. While it hasn’t been that long since we’ve seen the Dark Knight on the big screen, there is still a big question mark as to what Pattinson’s version of the character will look like. Regardless, Pattinson isn’t going to be hitting up the porn scene in the near future, nor will he be directing for PornHub like Bella Thorne or winning AVN Awards.
Though Superheroes are popular on Pornhub, so he knows what kind of adult movie he’ll probably be successful at. Maybe he should keep his cape and cowl just in case a Batman XXX art house spoof comes up sometime in the next decade.
