Robert Pattinson is keen for Jennifer Lopez to one day be Batman and mate, do you want the part or not?
The actor, who was announced earlier this year as the latest caped crusader, sat down with Hustlers star Jennifer for Variety’s Actors On Actors series when talk soon turned to Batman.
As it usually does.
While the decision to cast Robert in the main role seemed to perplex some, JLo is all for it as she mused over the actor’s upcoming role.
‘I think you’d be a great Batman,’ she told him, as they sat down for a good old chat.
‘An awesome Batman.’
Feeling the Lopez seal of approval, Robert admitted the feeling was mutual, as he replied: ‘You would be as well.’
Um, excuse us, RPatz? You already looking to get rid of the mask before we’ve even seen you in the role?
Jennifer was loving the plaudit though, as she said: ‘I could be Batman. Why not?
‘I think as an actor, it would be fun to explore.’
That’s exactly what enticed Robert to the character and taking over from the likes of Ben Affleck and George Clooney, as well as Christian Bale and Michael Keaton, as he said he didn’t ‘seek’ it out directly, but he was definitely interested in it.
‘I don’t know what it is, which happened inside of me, but I was like, “I kind of want to do it,”’ he explained.
‘I like doing something which an audience doesn’t know that it wants, and try to get it out of them: “Oh yeah, you want to play Batman.”’
Everyone is all for it though, with ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart recently sharing her excitement at her Twilight co-star becoming a superhero.
The Charlie’s Angels actress ‘can’t wait’ to see her Robert his Batsuit while using his Bat-voice.
Discussing who the best Batman is, the star answered: ‘Robert Pattinson, yet to find out. I have all the faith in that.’
