The former Marvel star’s social page is currently emblazoned with ads giving away PlayStation and Amazon gift cards and Tesla Model Xs too.

Not only that, but the hackers appear to have also changed his bio information, which now features a form to complete, which should, of course, be avoided at all costs.

It follows a spate of recent high profile hackings, with Twitter boss Jack Dorsey’s account being taken over by a group called the Chuckle Squad, who went on to post a number of racist and anti-semitic tweets.

Jason Momoa’s Instagram was also recently hacked in a similar fashion to that of Downey Jr.

The Avengers are having a tough time with technology at the moment.

Jeremy Renner had to shut down his fan app yesterday, after trolls realised that you could send messages from it that appeared to be from Renner himself.
