Robbie Williams to duet with Tyson Fury on new Christmas album

Robbie Williams is set to give Michael Bublé a run for his money with the release of his first Christmas album – with a guest appearance from boxer Tyson Fury.

The singer, 45, said he was “beyond excited” to release double album The Christmas Present on November 28, describing the project as “a dream come true.”

Heavyweight fighter Fury, 31, features on a track called Bad Sharon, which Williams said was inspired by “a very boozy office party somewhere in the Midlands.”

“Tyson invited me to his dressing room before the fight [against Tom Schwarz in June] and just in that moment I was like, ‘I’ve seen you sing after bouts’ and I asked him, and he said yes,” he told Scott Mills.

He added: “[The song] made sense for Tyson, in that moment in my head, and to be fair he smashed it.”

The 28-track album is Williams’ 13th and also features vocals from Sir Rod Stewart, Bryan Adams and Jamie Cullum.

The first disc, titled Christmas Past, sees the former Take That star cover festive standards including Winter Wonderland, Santa Baby and Slade’s Merry Xmas Everybody (with a cameo from Cullum).

Festive: The album is out on November 22 (Murray Chalmers PR/Colombia Records)

Williams has also recorded a duet of It’s A Wonderful Life with his father Peter Conway.

The second disc, Christmas Future, features original tracks as well as covers of Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) and I Believe In Father Christmas.

The former X Factor judge has also announced The Robbie Williams Christmas Party at the SSE Arena Wembley on December 16.

Tickets will go on general sale on November 7.
