Robbie Williams will be warming your cockles this Christmas as he’s set to perform his festive hits at this year’s Royal Variety Performance.

It’s been announced that the Let Me Entertain You singer will grace the stage at the annual concert, taking place at the London Palladium on 18 November and airing on ITV.

The show will be particularly special for Robbie, 45, as he’s set to duet with Jamie Cullum and the one and only Rod Stewart, singing songs from his upcoming festive album The Christmas Present.

Rod, 74, appears on It Takes Two, a bonus track on The Christmas Present while Robbie’s also recorded a cover of Merry Xmas Everybody with Jamie.

Other stars confirmed to take part in the Royal Variety Performance include cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason, who performed at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding last year, while Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan are set to become the first comedic duo to host the ceremony in more than three decades.

Lewis Capaldi, Mabel, Hollywood actor Luke Evans, Harry Connick Jr and Britain’s Got Talent winner Colin Thackery were previously announced for the show. There will also be a special performance of Come From Away from the Tony and Olivier award-winning musical.

Giles Cooper, chairman of the Royal Variety charity, said of this year’s forthcoming show: ‘The Royal Variety Charity is grateful to all the performers who are giving their time freely to support the charity at our main fundraising event of the year.

Robbie’s The Christmas Present is out next month

‘The Royal Variety Performance enables the charity to continue our work supporting those within the entertainment industries throughout the United Kingdom and to maintain our residential and care home, Brinsworth House, in Twickenham.’

Robbie surprised with the announcement of his first festival record, The Christmas Present, earlier this month.

The album will also feature collaborations with Bryan Adams and, most bizarrely, Tyson Fury on a track called Bad Sharon.

And the former Take That star has high hopes for the album, as he recently teased his plans to end Michael Buble owning the Christmas period.

Speaking to Scott Mills at a recent Q&A, Robbie said: ‘You’re always looking for a reason to go into the studio.

‘And I thought: “Why don’t I own birthdays like Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder? Or New Year’s Day like… U2?” Well, it’s a bit depressing, that one, isn’t it? You wouldn’t put that one on for a shindig.

‘This album was gonna be called Achtung Buble. I f***ing love Michael, but it must stop. It must end now.’

The Royal Variety Performance will air on ITV in December.
