Robbie Williams has revealed he has had a number of brushes with the paranormal. But he said they have drawn to a close with the onset of fatherhood.

Speaking on Coast To Coast radio in the US, Williams, 46, said he first became interested in the paranormal as a child growing up in Stoke-on-Trent.

“I can’t remember not being interested in unusual phenomena,” he said. “And unusual phenomena has found its way to me several times.

Tales of the unexpected?

“And once you see things and once you experience things, then it’s very difficult to not remain interested and inquisitive and want to know what’s real and what isn’t real, why this is happening”, he added.

He has previously claimed his hit song Angels was written about spiritual angels he would speak to as a child.

“When I was a kid I used to talk to dead people”, he once said in a interview with The Sun.

Any regrets or has it entertained him?

No regrets for the former Take That band member who has forged a highly successful solo career.

He said: “They happened. So, I carry on being interested. Yes, I am a student of the unusual. “Yes, it’s fascinating and entertains me and it scares me and it makes me smile.”

In 2008, he made a BBC Radio 4 documentary with Jon Ronson investigating UFO sightings.

Although, the former X Factor judge admitted he stopped short of buying Skinwalker Ranch in Utah, a popular site for UFO spotting, for fear of the backlash from his wife Ayda Field.

“But if I didn’t have a wife, I would have bought the ranch”, he added.

How has having kids changed the psychic dynamic?

Williams, who is father to Teddy, seven, Charlie, five, Coco, one, and newborn Beau, said his experiences with the unexplained have stopped.

“The strangest thing is that since I’ve had kids, the phenomena have ceased to happen”, he said,”I’m guessing that once you have kids, they just take up all of your energy and your thoughts.”

Was it somethin’ stupid or could it be magic? We may never know.
