Rita Ora is making the most of being out of quarantine, after flying Down Under for work.

The 30-year-old has completed 14 days of quarantine after travelling from the UK to Sydney to start work as a judge on The Voice Australia.

But before the hard work kicked in, she got in some R&R as she hit the beach with friends including her sister and manager Elena.

The Let You Love Me singer wore a woven Missoni string bikini for her sun-soaked day out, and kept things casual, wearing her hair in a low bun and going barefaced for her swim.

Rita appeared to be having a ball as she larked around with a male friend in the sea, and was later pictured chatting and sunbathing on a sun lounger on a platform positioned above the beach.

Having the beach as your garden? Yeah, we’re pretty jealous.

Rita previously shared her excitement at heading to Australia for her new job, telling the Daily Telegraph: ‘I’m really grateful to have been invited here to be a part of The Voice this year. I can’t wait to be able to mentor the amazing talent out here, let’s go.

‘Australia is home to some of my favourite musicians and writing partners I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.’

She’s no stranger to singing competitions, having been a judge on both The X Factor and The Voice UK, and was seen on our screens this year as part of the panel for The Masked Singer UK.

Rita is allowed travel to Australia – where life has pretty much returned to normal as coronavirus rules were relaxed – under government rules as she is heading there to work, and stuck to the country’s quarantine rules.

However, the news that she was heading Down Under was met with criticism, due to the popstar previously breaking pandemic restrictions.

Last year, it emerged that Rita had thrown a a birthday party with around 30 friends at Casa Cruz restaurant in Notting Hill on November 28 when gatherings like this were against lockdown restrictions.

Rita issued an apology, saying: ‘Hello all, I attended a small gathering with some friends to celebrate my 30th birthday.

‘It was a spur of the moment decision made with the misguided view that we were coming out of lockdown and this would be OK… I’m deeply sorry for breaking the rules and in turn understand that this puts people at risk.

‘This was a serious and inexcusable error of judgement. Given the restrictions, I realise how irresponsible these actions were and I take full responsibility.

‘I feel particularly embarrassed knowing first-hand how hard people have worked to combat this terrible illness and being fully aware of the sacrifices that people and businesses have made to help keep us all safe. Even though this won’t make it right, I want to sincerely apologise.’

It then emerged that prior to her birthday, on November 21, Rita had jetted to Egypt to perform at a hotel, and returned the next day, but failed to isolate for the next 14 days under Government quarantine rules.

The For You singer said: ‘I recently flew to Egypt to perform at a corporate event for a private company, where my travel party followed protocol and presented negative Covid tests upon entry, as required by Egyptian authorities.

‘Upon my return to Britain, I should have followed Government advice and isolated myself for the required period. As you know, I didn’t follow Government advice and… I apologise again, unreservedly.

‘While I realise the apologetic words of a pop star might not carry much weight, especially one who has broken the rules like I have, I do realise some might seek to follow my example.

‘My message to them is simple: please don’t. The guilt and shame I’ve carried this week for my mistake aren’t worth it. Instead, continue to listen to the Government advice and the voices of the heroes of the NHS and take the required precautions.

‘I hope to one day make it up to the public who have given me so much support over the years and, in particular, make it up to the heroes of the NHS… In the meantime, I will be donating my fee from Egypt to charity. Be better than I have been and learn from my mistakes so you don’t have to learn the hard way yourselves.’

Following the scandal, Rita released her latest single, Big, with Imanbek, David Guetta and Gunna, which is the first song from her and Imanbek’s collaborative EP Bang.
