Rita Ora has announced a home concert for Unicef’s coronavirus benefit which will ‘help protect children from the impact’ of the virus.

As a Unicef Ambassador, the star will be using her Instagram TV to raise money for the important cause.

Uploading snaps of herself doing Unicef volunteer work as well as performing, the 29-year-old wrote: ‘I’m so honoured to announce ‘Rita Ora: At Home for Generation Covid’ coming this Thursday at 6pm UK time on my IGTV in support of @Unicef_uk’s largest appeal in history!!!

‘A whole generation of children are in danger and I hope this performance will raise vital funds to help protect children from the impact of #Coronavirus.’

She went on to encourage fans and viewers to ‘give whatever they can’.

‘Watch the performance this Thursday 6th August and donate at the link in my bio to support children and families impacted by Coronavirus.’

According to the Unicef website, 6,000 children can die every single day in the next six months ‘as coronavirus weakens national health systems and disrupts vital services’.

Because of the virus, many healthcare facilities around the world have been closed or are only able to provide a basic service.

Donations towards Rita’s benefit concert will go to providing medical supplies to frontline workers, as well as providing health care support for vulnerable communities.

Procceedings will also provide access to education and child protection services.

All we have to do is tune in to Rita’s Instagram on Thursday August 6 at 6pm UK time.
