Rita Ora has revealed she sometimes struggles with being in the limelight.

The singer, 29, was launched into the spotlight back in 2012, where she landed two number one singles in her debut year with How We Do and RIP.

Nearly a decade later, Rita knows all too well what it can be like living in the public eye and she admits that she struggles with the ‘highs and lows’ fame can bring.

‘It is hard to explain as it is such a high and then it is such a low,’ she candidly told Daily Star. ‘It happens all the time, especially when I have done something like a show.’

Rita said that often when she returns home after performing, she can feel a bit out of sort.

‘I get home and I’m like, “Wow, this is crazy,”‘ she said. ‘I still don’t believe it to be honest, but I definitely love it.’

And because she loves it so much, Rita says she never takes fame ‘for granted’, but she makes sure to look after her mental health by keeping up with her fitness.

‘I try to work out all the time to keep my sanity as you can really get lost in this world,’ Rita admitted. ‘I think it is important.’

Rita recently dropped new track How To Be Lonely with fans, after teaming up with Lewis Capaldi on the catchy new tune.

He had originally penned the track, but decided to hand it over to Rita after realising she was probably better at singing it than he was.

Lewis joked: ‘Sometimes you write songs and you sing them and you go: “I’m f***ing sh**e at this.

‘I said: “Oh no, I’m not very good at singing this.” So you go and get someone who can sing it.’

It’s not yet known whether How To Be Lonely will be the first preview of a new Rita album, with the singer yet to follow up her 2018 album Phoenix.

Speaking about the track, Rita has said: ‘The past year has felt like the end of a chapter and the beginning of a new and exciting one!

‘This song is inspired by lots of different periods of my life; times where I’ve come to realise that we’re all valuable people, something we should cherish, and that while connections are important, we don’t ever need the approval of others.

‘When you’re alone, remember that you are enough and that you have the strength to make your own choices. Enjoy being you!’
