Riot Games Third-Party Investigation Concludes No Wrongdoing by CEO Nicolo Laurent

Riot Games CEO, Nicolo Laurent has been cleared of any wrongdoing by the company after a third-party investigation into sexual misconduct allegations were leveled at the Riot executive in a lawsuit filed by former Riot employee Sharon O’Donnell

According to a report by The Washington Post, the news of the investigation and its findings were shared internally with Riot employees and then saw a follow up email from Laurent himself.

In an email obtained by WaPo, Laurent wrote, ““It’s important you hear this from me directly: The allegations of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation involving me are not true. Nothing of that nature, or even remotely close to it, ever happened.”

Laurent came under fire around January 7, after Sharon O’Donnell filed a lawsuit with allegations that Laurent had created a hostile work environment and based the condition of O’Donnell’s employment on having a sexual relationship with Laurent.

The results of the investigation follow news that Alienware-owned brand Dell will no longer sponsor Riot-Related events.
