Rio Ferdinand enjoyed a classic meal of pie and mash while health fanatic fiancé Kate Wright was out of town.
There is nothing like grabbing a cheeky traditional meal from the East End of London when the woman of the house is away and while the former Towie star was away enjoying her hen do, her other half was busy tucking into the food he most likely is not allowed to eat at home.
The retired footballer was spotted enjoying the classic meal in popular East End eatery Manzes, with the official page for the restaurant posting a snap of his time there.
The 40-year-old, who is often seen working out and boasting about healthy living with Kate, looked excited in the picture.
The caption read: ‘Rio.. .Whilst the Mrs to be is away living it up on her hen do You gonna pop down with the lads for some pie and mash?!’
The social media activity came as Kate littered her social media with pictures from her epic hen weekend to Mykonos where the girls enjoyed nights out, selfies, and a gorgeous Greek villa.
Day one featured a raucous all-white night at Interni restaurant while day two had a nude theme, with the girls are sporting nude-coloured swimwear.
Kate and 16 of her closest pals – including Towie pal Saffron Lempriere – headed out to popular island for a huge party and as they made their way on to the plane, Kate was gifted a jacket which read ‘Mrs Ferdy To Be’.
Sharing snaps on Instagram, Kate wrote: ‘Me & the girls ready for my #MrsFerdytobe.
‘We decided to have a social media detox to actually enjoy ourselves rather than be on our phones checking Instagram 24/7.’
‘Be prepared for a LOT of piks (sic),’ she added, revealing the detox was now over before taking to her Stories to share all the behind the scenes fun including a night out at the famed Interni restaurant.
Rio proposed to the former Towie star in front of his children while on holiday in Abu Dhabi.
Now we will have to look for pie and mash on the wedding reception menu.
