When Rihanna throws a Fenty Beauty party, she throws a party. The bad gal staged a celebration in London, where, in addition to firing out fake dollar bills and playing beer pong, she sang karaoke. Her tunes of choice? “The Boy Is Mine” by Brandy and Monica, and two of her own smash hits, “Rehab” and “Wild Thoughts.”
Her outfit choice of the night was part of an ongoing thematic collaboration with her stylist Jahleel Weaver. The yellow satin shirt dress with matching tinted shades, pumps and a micro Medea bag follows a long line of looks that have embraced block colours or patterns. Remember the snakeskin mini and bucket hat combo? The work of Weaver.
Naturally, the canary-yellow suede Medea bag is not even available to purchase yet. The artists, models and twin sisters behind the brand, Camilla and Giulia Venturini, reposted pictures of the singer carrying the shopping bag-inspired accessory with the promise: “coming soon”. Rihanna already has one of the Prima totes – as signified by a February 15 post – so the teeny-tiny summer-ready shopper is seemingly part of an ongoing fruitful relationship between the two parties. Expect a pre-order list to start growing now, and for the entrepreneur to use her expertise at brand building to create noise around her upcoming fashion line: Project Loud France. When Rihanna goes to work, she goes to work.
