Rihanna serves pure opulence in brown fur coat as she returns to set of music video at hotel in DTLA

Rihanna has kept her devoted fans (to whom she refers as her ‘Navy’) in suspense for four years over her long-awaited new music.

And the nine-time Grammy winner appears to be hard at work, recently spotted on the set of what appears to be a music video.

She served pure opulence Saturday in a leggy brown fur coast, returning to the filming location at the NoMad Hotel in Los Angeles, as her ninth studio album inches closer to completion.

The 32-year-old showed off her toned stems in some brown snakeskin wraparound gladiator stilettos and a diamond anklet.

She finished the ensemble with a pair of honey brown sunglasses, gold hoop earrings and a brown Fendi handbag, while keeping safe in a black face mask.

Rihanna was previously seen leaving the hotel Thursday, following an 11-hour shoot, and a sign at the entrance displayed the ‘set rules’ for COVID-19 precautions.

She last released her eighth album Anti back in 2016, and has since mostly played coy about her new music.

The Ocean’s 8 actress revealed back in February that she was back in the recording studio, making music with Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, who make up the producing duo The Neptunes.

She later gave an update to Entertainment Tonight in July: ‘I am always working on music. I am always working on music and when I am ready to put it out in the way that I feel fit, it’s gonna come out.

‘And you’re not going to be disappointed when it happens. It’s going to be worth it. I’m not just gonna put it out just because people are waiting. It’s taken this long, I’m gonna make it worth it.’

Rihanna most recently touched base with the Associated Press this month about the state of the R9 album, after holding ‘tons of writing camps’ for new songs.

She explained: ‘What do I feel personally? What do I want to put out, and as an artist, how do I want to play it with my art? How do I want to interpret that? How do I want to reimagine it? Because it’s been so structured before.

‘You do pop, you did this genre, you do that, you do radio, but now it’s just like, what makes me happy? I just want to have fun with music. Everything is so heavy. The world that we live in is a lot. It’s overwhelming every single day. And with the music, I’m using that as my outlet.’

The Love On the Brain artist added: ‘I want to go on tour but I can’t, so I’m stuck with music that I love, and now I’m trying to figure out how I can even create visuals to that. That’s a challenge as well. But I love challenges so, you know, I’m gonna get it done.’

Her temporary absence from music has come as she focuses on her fashion house Fenty, which helped her earn her first Fashion Award last year.
