It looks as if some pickle-flavoured Rick And Morty Pringles are on the way – and colour us intrigued.
Adult Swim, who broadcast the popular adult animation, have teamed up with Kellogg’s to create limited edition Pickle Rick Pringles, which are not only pickle in flavour, but also get their namesake from the show’s season three episode, Pickle Rick – which is also hailed as one of the series’ best episodes by critics and fans.
The Pickle Rick Pringles are set to be released in the US on 3 February to coincide with the 2020 Superbowl.
Gareth Maguire, senior director of marketing for Pringles said: ‘We want to do something completely new for the brand for the 2020 Big Game and are thrilled to be partnering with Adult Swim and Rick And Morty, a show which continues to grow in popularity year after year and enjoys a cult fan following.
‘We hope the new special edition Pickle Rick flavour will be a hit with the show’s fans.’
The senior vice president for marketing and partnerships at Adult Swim, Jill King, also added that Rick And Morty fans will be given ‘amazing new opportunities to illustrate their love for the show’ through the release of the Pringles.
There’s no word yet on whether or not the Pringles will make their way over to the UK or other countries – but with a tangy flavour like pickles, it sounds too good not to pass.
Elsewhere, as the fourth season continues to air on our television screens, voice star Spencer Grammar has teased that there are further instalments in the works – albeit shorts.
Spencer, who we all know as Summer Smith, dropped the bombshell earlier this month on Collider’s Saturday Mourning Cartoons podcast.
When pressed on whether there are any mini-episodes on the horizon, Spencer replied: ‘Yes, there are.
‘Definitely are more episodes like that. You’ll see some pretty dynamic [stories] for Summer coming up.’
Rick And Morty airs Wednesdays at 10pm on E4.
