He has been self isolating for almost three weeks after repeatedly testing positive for coronavirus.
But Richard Wilkins finally got his negative result on Tuesday evening, and was seen leaving the house the following morning for the first time in 19 days.
The 65-year-old entertainment reporter went straight back to work at Channel Nine after being given a clean bill of health.

Richard wore a novelty T-shirt and jeans as he left his home on Sydney’s North Shore.
Holding a pen in his mouth, the Weekend Today host walked down his drive barefoot and dropped something into his letter box.
He later emerged wearing a denim overshirt and leather boots, and climbed into his $80,000 Volvo before driving off to Nine’s Willoughby studios.

Richard looked like a man on a mission as he headed to the office.
He was back to work just one day after getting his negative result, telling fans on Tuesday evening he’d finally being given the all-clear.
He wrote on Instagram: ‘Coronavirus, you’re outta here! I’ve been cleared to return to work by the incredible team at NSW Health.’

He added the hashtag #NEGATIVE!! and the message, ‘Thanks all… KIA KAHA… much love’.
Kia kaha ha is a Māori phrase used as an affirmation, which means ‘stay strong’. Richard originally hails from New Zealand.
A Channel Nine spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia on Tuesday: ‘He’s been given the all clear by health authorities to go back to work.’
