myst: With almost every pro playing custom scrim lobbies for practice rather than arena mode, why have you and Ninja opted to play arena mode this whole time and do you think more pros should lean towards arena now?
Reverse2K: I think pros and other players should do whatever they think is best for them. Tyler and I thought arenas were the best for us, you get into engagements that you would in worlds and overall better practice.
myst: With Epic game recently announcing they are adding Trios and squads to arena mode in the near future, do you think these game modes can be better options to competitive play rather than solos?
Reverse2K: I would love to be trios and squads into the competitive scene, unfortunately, I do not think Epic has the servers to support this. They tried to do a squad tournament before, but due to tests of servers, they switched it to duos days before.
myst: With the removal of the pump shotgun during the release of Season 9, where do you think Fortnite’s meta currently ranks and what are your thoughts on the immense changes Season 9 brought?
Reverse2K: I always expect a drastic change when a new season comes out for Fortnite. I am not surprised that the “staple gun” of the game which was the pump shotgun was removed. They like to keep the game fresh for everyone, so it doesn’t get boring.
myst: In yesterdays finals you were able to claim three victory royales, but ultimately finished second. Do you think the scoring system is flawed as in previous duo competitions we have seen Ninja and yourself and Tfue and Cloak muster three victories but missed out on qualifying to duos with zero to one victory?
Reverse2K: I do think a victory royale should be worth more, but the question is how much more? I had multiple talks with a lot of people about the scoring system, it is really tricky to find the “perfect” scoring system.
