RESPAWN Products to kit out Shenandoah University


Gaming furniture manufacturer RESPAWN Products has entered a partnership with private, Winchester-based Shenandoah University.

The deal will see the university kitted out with RESPAWN’s gaming chairs.

In return for the supply of products, Shenandoah University will feature RESPAWN’s logo in its esports streams, broadcasts, and on its official jerseys. Alex Gonzalez, marketing manager for the furniture company, has also agreed to guest lecture in the university’s esports classes.

Gonzalez spoke on the partnership in a release: “Shenandoah University has gone above and beyond compared to a majority of esports programs in the United States. By offering a dedicated esports curriculum and MBA program, they have shown that they are dedicated to supporting a variety of careers within the gaming space.

“We’re extremely excited to launch this partnership with them as we hope to work together in unique ways throughout 2021 including internship opportunities, scholarships and more.”

RESPAWN Products has worked with the likes of Houston Outlaws, Atlanta FaZe & Atlanta Reign, and Epic Games for the Fortnite World Cup.

Joey Gawrysiak, Ph.D , Director of Esports for Shenandoah University, also commented: “It’s a huge brand. It’s one of the most recognized chair brands in esports, and chairs are BIG in esports. This partnership provides both name exposure and brand exposure, and we are extremely grateful and very excited to be joining with RESPAWN in this epic partnership.”

Esports Insider says: RESPAWN has kitted out some of the biggest franchises and competitions in esports, adding universities to its desired avenue of support signals a more localised, grassroots focus for the company.
