Resident Evil 3 remake demo out next Thursday confirms Capcom

Update:

Capcom has confirmed that the demo for Resident Evil 3 remake will be out on Thursday, 19 March.

That’s a day earlier than rumours had suggested, but nobody’s going to complain about that. Especially as there’s no mention of you only being able to play it once, like the Resident Evil 2 demo.

Capcom has also announced that there’ll be an open beta for multiplayer mode Resident Evil Resistance, starting on Friday, 27 March. That’s only a week before the game is released but arguably that’s more useful for people to see ahead of time as it’s brand new.

Original story:

Capcom has already confirmed a Resident Evil 3 remake demo is coming and one reliable source is claiming it will drop in a few days.

Everyone’s very eager to get their hands on the Resident Evil 3 remake, but although it’s still not out for a few weeks yet a demo has been promised.

Capcom confirmed last month that the demo would be out soon, but it didn’t provide any idea of when that would be.

Recently, Twitter user AestheticGamer1 put out a claim that the demo would drop this Friday. Anyone with a Twitter account can, admittedly, make such a claim but AestheticGamer1 has a good track-record when it comes to leaking info about horror games.

In
January, they stated that Konami
was interested in making new Silent Hill games
, which was later
corroborated by Konami itself, and is only looking more likely if recent
rumours are to be believed
.

Releasing the demo a few weeks before the game’s release makes a lot of sense too, although this could simply be an accurate guess on AestheticGamer1’s part rather than a result of insider knowledge. After all, the Resident Evil 2 remake demo came out two weeks before its official launch.

Regardless, we’re most likely going to see a demo sooner rather than later. Although whether it’ll be like the last one, and you’ll only be able to play it one time, remains to be seen.

Resident Evil 3 will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on 3 April.
