Resident Evil 3 Remake: Capcom reveal date finally confirmed for Nemesis release?

Resident Evil 3 fans have been speculating over when the new Capcom will be revealed for PS4 and Xbox One.

The project hasn’t been officially acknowledged but a series of leaks including official cover art has outed the game early.

And now Resident Evil 3 Remake fans may be close to finding out more details regarding Capcom’s release plans.

According to a series of new leaks, the famous developer will be announcing their next Resident Evil project this month.

And fans won’t have to wait around long to find out when the Resident Evil 3 Remake release date will be set.

NEMESIS PROJECT FOR PS4 AND XBOX ONE

Following a high profile leak, the new Resident Evil 3 Remake will reportedly be revealed during an upcoming PlayStation State of Play event.

Several industry insiders has shared as much online, revealing that Resi 3 will be unveiled during the December 10 stream.

As confirmed by Sony earlier this month, the new PlayStation State of Play event will be held on Tuesday, December 10.

It will include news covering new game reveals coming to PS4 and PS4 Pro consoles but it won’t cover anything to do with the PS5.

This might disappoint fans waiting on next-gen news from Sony but the upside is that there will be plenty of room for new reveals.

And according to the latest rumours, Resident Evil 3 Nemesis will be among them.

Sony hasn’t revealed much on what new game reveals will be under the spotlight during the stream, which is scheduled to run for around 20 minutes.

We also don’t how much information will be provided during the show, even if Resident Evil 3 Nemesis is featured.

We would expect at least a release year to be confirmed and a Q1 2020 launch doesn’t seem out of the question.

“The year is almost over, but we’ve got one more State of Play to share with you,” Sony confirms.

“It airs Tuesday, 10th December at 2pm GMT / 3pm CET, and you can watch live on Twitch, YouTube and Facebook.

“We’ve got around 20 minutes of new game reveals, release date announcements, new gameplay footage, PlayStation Worldwide Studios updates, and more.

“And it probably bears repeating: Don’t expect any updates related to our next-gen plans in this episode.

“You can watch live on Twitch, YouTube and Facebook, as usual. Can’t wait to see what you think.”

As mentioned above, the new Resi 3 project was leaked via new game art appearing online, showcasing updated characters designs Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira.

Nemesis was also featured and shows an antagonist that just can’t wait to sink his teeth into a new challenge.

Following the leak, Resi 3 was linked to a reveal during The Game Awards 2019, until host Geoff Keighley ruled it out.

He told fans online: “There are no plans (never were) to do anything with Resident Evil 3 at the show.

“A lot of these “leaks” are completely wrong. Nothing about our show has leaked as of this writing.”

So fans will have their finger’s crossed that Sony’s State of Play will be where we learn more about the Resident Evil 3 Remake release date.
