The oldest car to wear the Porsche badge on view at Sotheby’s, prior to being sold in California with an estimate of more than $20m. It is the only surviving 1939 Porsche Type 64 Berlin-Rome, No. 3. The rare piece of motoring history was the personal car of Ferry Porsche, the renowned engineer and son of the firm’s founder, Ferdinand Porsche Sr.
