Red Velvet star Wendy is finally been discharged from hospital, two months after suffering a horror fall during rehearsals.

The 26-year-old was rehearsing for SBS Gayo Daejeon on Christmas Day 2019 when she fell from a two metre platform.

The singer broke her pelvis and wrist, and suffered facial injuries that prevented her from chewing.

However, after two months, Wendy has been discharged and is receiving outpatient treatment, believed to be physical therapy exercises.

It is expected it will be a while before Wendy rejoins her bandmates in activities.

The star returned to social media last week to mark her birthday, writing on Instagram: ‘Dear our ReVeluv, Hello everyone, it’s Wendy!

‘Missed me much? 🙂 It’s been awhile since I’ve uploaded my latest post. I just wanted to thank you everyone for all the love and support you have shared with me on my birthday. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Also, I’m recovering very well, thanks to all of our ReVeluv♥️

‘As I said during my Instagram live, I won’t be going anywhere but always singing right next to you as Wendy. I hope to see you all soon on stage!

‘Thanks to you all, our Reveluv, for coming into my life and taking a huge part of my journey. Miss you lots.’

Following Wendy’s accident, it was reported that police were investigating SBS, due to claims stairs Wendy was supposed to walk down from the platform on were missing.

The network said: ‘Right after the accident took place on December 25, the staff blocked off the area and called for emergency services so that Wendy could be rushed to the hospital and undergo a thorough examination.

‘We have begun an internal investigation into understanding the exact details of the accident, and once we fully understand the cause, we will take greater care to ensure that such an accident does not occur again.’
