Red Dead Redemption 2 release time: When is Red Dead 2 launching on PC?

A new report out this week has revealed when Red Dead Redemption 2 will be launching on PC.

The official release time has not been confirmed officially by Rockstar Games, although we know there will be an extra wait for those on Steam.

But for those who plan on playing Red Dead Redemption 2 on one of the other digital stores, like Epic Games, we have a reported launch window.

WHAT TIME IS RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 LAUNCHING ON PC?

The Red Dead Redemption 2 release date on PC has been set for Tuesday, November 5.

It should be noted that Red Dead 2 will not be available to play on Steam until December 2019.

However, for everyone else using alternative digital storefronts, you should be starting your adventures with Arthur Morgan very soon.

Rockstar Games has not provided an exact release time for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC.

And from early reports in other regions, it doesn’t appear that the game will have a unified global release time at midnight.

A new report online suggests that Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC will be playable at 1pm GMT, on November 5.

According to Game Debate, Red Dead 2 will be unlocking at the same time, depending on where you live.

So if Red Dead Redemption 2 is playable in the UK at 1pm, this will mean 5am PT and 8am ET in the United States.

This comes from an online report, so there is a chance that Rockstar Games will share their own guide online later today.

Or, something could change on the development side, meaning a delay for all gamers trying to access RDR2.

So it will be worth keeping an eye on the latest news being shared by Rockstar Games over the coming hours.

GETTING READY FOR RED DEAD 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available to Pre-load today, meaning you can install all the important files before it unlocks.

The benefits to this are that you will be able to start playing as soon as the game goes live on servers.

And this could be pretty vital for fans with slow internet connections, as Red Dead Redemption 2 has a base install size of 150GB.

It should be noted that you can only do this if you have pre-ordered the game and have the Rockstar Games Launcher installed.

“Pre-purchasers can now pre-load Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC in preparation for launch on November 5th,” a message from Rockstar explains. “To begin pre-loading, just log in to the Rockstar Games Launcher and click the PRE-LOAD button on the Red Dead Redemption 2 panel in your library.

“If you have yet to pre-purchase Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC – doing so via the Rockstar Games Launcher will get you a free PC game, free upgrades to premium editions, bonus game content and more.”

The exclusive bonuses mentioned above include a free Rockstar Games PC title, extras for Story Mode like the War Horse, the Outlaw Survival Kit and the Le Trésor des Morts Treasure Map, 50 Gold Bars for Red Dead Online, and discounts on Special and Ultimate Edition upgrades.

“New graphical and technical enhancements for deeper immersion include increased draw distances for better navigation; higher-quality global illumination and ambient occlusion for improved day and night lighting; higher quality snow trails, improved reflections and deeper, higher resolution shadows at all distances; tessellated tree textures and improved grass and fur textures for added realism in every plant and animal,” Rockstar Games adds.

“Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC also offers HDR support, the ability to run high-end display setups with 4K resolution and beyond, multi-monitor configurations, widescreen configurations, faster frame rates and more.”

It should be noted that Red Dead Redemption 2 will see regular updates over the coming months due to the inclusion of Red Dead Online.
