When the game exits unexpectedly RDR2 players have been greeted with the error message “Red Dead Redemption 2 Exited Unexpectedly”.

The main advice Rockstar Games has given Red Dead Redemption 2 players is to update their graphics drivers.

Rockstar Advice – The most common cause of this error is out of date graphics drivers.

  • Update your graphics drivers.
  • NVIDIA owners should update their graphics driver version to 441.12 or above in the GeForce Experience app, or manually using this link: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx.
  • AMD owners should update their graphics driver version to 19.11.1 or above in the Radeon Software app, or manually using this link: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/.
  • Run RDR2.exe as an administrator.

But other issues continue to affect areas of gameplay for many fans, including problems with FPS drops while riding around the map.

Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC launched earlier this week but will not be available to buy from the Steam platforms until December 2019.
