Rebel Wilson revealed things ‘heated up’ on the set of Cats, causing her to lose eight pounds over just four days.

The 39-year-old comedian said they literally had to turn up the heat on set for the benefit of the professional dancers.

‘I lost eight pounds shooting my number, in four days,’ Wilson told Entertainment tonight. ‘One, because there’s a lot of physicality… but also, they heated up the set very high, to almost 100 Fahrenheit, so that we could never cool down.’

Explaining why, she continued: ‘These people are the best dancers in the whole world, so they can’t cool their muscles down or they could get an injury and they’d be out of the film.

‘So they’d heat up the set like a sauna so we would never cool down, but made it pretty uncomfortable.’

Rebel played Jennyanydots in the upcoming Tom Hooper release – a lazy cat to her owners, but an incredibly helpful and productive one when they go to sleep.

Actors got a little hot under the collar in a different kind of way on set too, with co-star Jason Derulo dishing the dirt last month.

Basically, the entire time she was doing all of these p***y jokes – just like you do.

‘I don’t know how many are going to make the movie, man, but she was going in on all the double entendre jokes.’

‘She is just hilarious,’ he added.

Adding in her most recent interview, Rebel agreed: ‘Apparently, I was deemed the naughtiest cat at cat school.’

We expect nothing less from you, Rebel.

Cats is released in UK cinemas on 20 December.
