Rebekah Vardy has riffed off the Coleen Rooney drama to celebrate Jamie Vardy’s football team Leicester City FC winning their match.
To the surprise of many, Rebekah broke her social media silence by tweeting: ‘It’s…… Jamie Vardy #9.’
The choice of an ellipsis was also used by Coleen at the end of her dramatic statement in which she alleged that Rebekah had been selling stories to newspapers about the Rooney family.
Rooney made the accusations on Instagram, alleging that she set up a plot to expose her fellow WAG by only allowing one account access to fake stories she was sharing, and that account was Rebekah’s.
‘I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them. It’s…… Rebekah Vardy’s account,’ she shared on 9 October.
Rebekah, who is expecting her fifth child – her third with footballer Jamie – has denied all the allegations and called on lawyers to find out who had access to her Instagram and when.
Coleen wrote: ‘For a few years now someone I trusted to follow me on my personal Instagram account has been consistently informing The Sun newspaper of my private posts and stories.
‘There has been so much information given to them about me, my friends and my family – all without my permission or knowledge. After a long time of trying to figure out who it could be, for various reasons, I had a suspicion. To try and prove this, I came up with an idea. I blocked everyone from viewing my Instagram stories except ONE account. (Those on my private account must have been wondering why I haven’t had stories on there for a while.)’
She continued: ‘Over the past five months I have posted a series of false stories if they made their way into the Sun newspaper. And you know what, they did! The story about gender selection in Mexico, the story about returning to TV and then the latest story about the basement flooding in my new house.
‘It’s been tough keeping it to myself and not making any comment at all, especially when the stories have been leaked, however I had to. Now I know for certain which account/individual it’s come from.
‘I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them. It’s…… Rebekah Vardy’s account.’
The mum-of-four, who is married to Wayne Rooney, has yet to post the alleged screenshots.
Rebekah achieved further fame in 2017 when she appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
She and Coleen became pals as their husband played alongside each other for England.
