Jamie Vardy’s pregnant wife reportedly suffered from a severe panic attack that could have heavily affected her baby.

Rebekah Vardy is expecting her fifth child with the Leicester City striker and had to call a doctor to her home after suffering from chest pains and difficulty breathing.

A source told The Sun: ‘It was a terrifying night and Becky was beside herself worrying that the baby had been harmed.

‘Panic attacks can cut off the blood supply to an unborn child so the doctor had to monitor her for about an hour to make sure everything was OK.

‘Her heart was racing and her chest felt tight. She said it felt like she was dying.’

According to the insider, Rebekah’s panic attacks happened because she felt exposed to burglars and kidnappers after another media outlet posted personal information.

She feared for her safety and the safety of her children.

Earlier this month, Rebekah shared a glimpse of the unborn child with a clip of an ultrasound.

The clip shows the child with its beating heart lighting up the scan.

Her caption said: ‘It never fails to amaze me how incredible growing a new life is.’

Jamie and Rebekah have two children together – Sofia, four, and Finley, two – and this will be their third child together.

The former I’m A Celebrity contestant also has a daughter Meghan, 13, and a son Taylor, nine, from her previous relationship with Mark Godden.

The footballer and Rebekah first met in 2014 while she was working as a nightclub promoter, and the two quickly hit it off, before tying the knot in May 2016.

She recently revealed that she would divorce her husband if he ever was to cheat on her, claiming she would ‘not stand for it’.

Speaking to Fabulous magazine, she said: ‘I wouldn’t stand for it if my husband cheated on me, I wouldn’t put up with that in a million years.

‘If I was prepared to put up with that behaviour, where would my self-respect be? What example would I be to my kids?’

But she also admitted that she is aware that her husband would not stray from her, as he is different from guys she has dated in the past, and that her relationship with Jamie is ‘the only relationship she’s felt stable in’.
