After finding fame with her hit Friday, Rebecca Black definitely hasn’t had a shortage of celebrity fans, from Katy Perry to Justin Bieber.

However, 10 years on from getting her big break, she’s more than keen to delve into the world of K-Pop and there’s one band she’d do pretty much anything to collaborate with.

‘Oh my god, BLACKPINK, hello,’ she cried, chatting to Metro.co.uk. ‘Oh my god, I would fully die and then come back to life so I could see it happen.’

Rebecca BLACKPINK – it’s a match made in heaven.

‘I love music, I love artists, there are so many artists that I would actually sell a limb to work with,’ she continued.

‘I think right now I’m really inspired, yes by K-Pop and by BLACKPINK, [but also] there’s a group – Brockhampton – who I just think are so amazing and I did hear them once say they’d collab with anybody so…hello?’

The 22-year-old added: ‘I also love the younger artists who are coming up, who also have an online presence, like Ashnikko, Rosalía, there are so many amazing women in music right now.’

Preach, girl.

While Rebecca has been a successful musician in her own right for years now, unveiling her debut album back in 2017, and releasing her latest single Sweetheart in late 2019, she’s not afraid to admit she had help.

‘I’ve been writing for four of five years now, and I’ve really learned a lot, and I’ve been very lucky to work with people that I idolised myself,’ she explained.

‘It’s been really cool to see people who, the industry and everybody else, really respects – and same with myself – to see them give me that respect…that really helped me.’

Meanwhile, although BLACKPINK fans have been waiting quite some time for new music from the girls, after their comeback was delayed, it seems they shouldn’t have to wait too much longer.

YG Entertainment recently promised a new album from the girls – Rosé, Jennie, Lisa and Jisoo – in ‘the early part of 2020’.

We could not be more ready.
