Real Madrid stance
Real Madrid have no chance of beating Barcelona to the signing of Neymar, reports claim.
Barcelona sent representatives to Paris this week to discuss re-signing the Brazil international.
They tabled a deal to PSG, which would see Barcelona sign Neymar on loan with an obligation to make the move permanent next summer.
Barcelona will pay a hefty loan fee, then cough up around £154m (€170m) at the end of the season.
And according to Spanish newspaper Sport, Barcelona will beat Real Madrid to the signing of Neymar.
They say there is no possibility of Neymar joining Real Madrid before the European transfer deadline next week.
Bruno Fernandes talks
Real Madrid are in talks to sign Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes.
Fernandes, 24, was a top target for Manchester United throughout the summer but Ed Woodward and Co decided against bringing him to Old Trafford.
United’s loss could be Real Madrid’s gain with Zinedine Zidane’s side now in talks to sign the Portuguese midfielder.
Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha claim super agent Jorge Mendes is in the process of conducting negotiations with Sporting Lisbon on behalf of Real Madrid.
It’s believed Fernandes can be signed for £63million.
Deadline move for Paul Pogba
Zinedine Zidane is refusing to give up on Paul Pogba.
Real Madrid have been pursuing the French international, 26, since Zidane returned for a second spell at the Bernabeu in March.
Manchester United thought they’d priced Real Madrid out of bidding for Pogba by slapping a £180million valuation on the midfielder.
But according to Mundo Deportivo, Zidane’s side could make a last-gasp approach for Pogba before the European transfer window closes on September 2.
Neymar announcement plan
Barcelona want to announce the signing of Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar on Thursday, according to reports.
As previously mentioned, Barcelona have offered £127million plus Ousmane Dembele and Ivan Rakitic.
And despite Dembele’s reservations – El Chiringuito claim Barcelona want to announce the signing of the 27-year-old this Thursday.
That means a deal could even be announced as early as Wednesday evening.
Neymar stumbling block
Barcelona have submitted their final offer for Neymar.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo journalist Francesc Aguilar, who claims the Spanish champions have offered PSG cash in addition to two players.
It’s thought Barcelona have offered £127million plus Ousmane Dembele and Ivan Rakitic for the 27-year-old Brazilian forward.
Croatia midfielder Rakitic is on board with the deal – but Dembele doesn’t want to leave the Nou Camp having arrived in August 2017.
“Barca have made a final offer of 140 million euros plus the transfer of Dembele and the transfer of Rakitic in exchange for Neymar,” Aguilar tweeted. “PSG is valuing it. The problem is that Ousmane does not want to move from Barca. Instead, Ivan, who is up to the cap of his situation, would accept”.
