Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos has two reasons for wanting exit this transfer window

Real Madrid star Ramos has been linked with moves to Manchester United, Liverpool and clubs from the Chinese Super League in recent times.

Los Blancos chief Florentino Perez has confirmed the Spain international’s desire to leave, saying yesterday: “They [Ramos and his advisors] came to see me in my office.

“They mentioned that he might leave but without a transfer fee because transfer fees in China are very complicated.

“I told him that he can’t leave and that we would be speaking to the Chinese club interested in signing him.

“It’s impossible to let your captain leave for free, that would be setting a bad precedent.”

And Goal claim that Ramos has two reasons for wanting to turn his back on Real Madrid this summer.

One, is that his relationship with Perez has fallen apart.

It is said the two Los Blancos heavyweights had a huge argument after the club’s Champions League exit to Ajax this season.

The La Liga giants were beaten 4-1 on aggregate.

And, in the aftermath, Goal claim that Ramos and Perez came to blows in the dressing room.

A second reason the Real Madrid captain is eager to leave is because of his contract.

As things stand, the 33-year-old’s contract expires in 2021.

Madrid want him to sign a new contract, though, with Los Blancos against players allowing their deals to run into a final year.

Ramos is well-placed to demand a pay rise.

But Real may not bow to his demands, with the club often happy to let their veterans go.

Cristiano Ronaldo left for Juventus at the age of 33.

Iker Casillas was 34 when he joined Porto in 2015, while Raul left Madrid in 2010 at 33.
