The aircraft – a Gulfstream G-V capable of accommodating up to 14 passengers and crew – was traveling from California and landed at Miami-Opa locka Executive Airport before agents boarded.

The federal search, which included investigators with the FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and other agencies, was reportedly getting underway Monday evening after a search warrant was issued.

Miami-Dade police officers were also part of the search squad, according to the Herald.

It was not immediately clear whether any contraband had been found or whether anyone was going to be charged.

But Wayne’s lawyers rushed to the scene after he contacted them, TMZ reported.

Agents discovered that Lil Wayne, known as Weezy, was a passenger on the plane along with others, it’s claimed.

Anyone arrested or charged could face Christmas behind bars as the federal courts shut for the holidays.

Carter, who owns a 10,000-square-foot home in Miami Beach, according to the Miami Herald, made headlines in May when he refused to play the Rolling Loud hip-hop festival in Miami Gardens because of a mandatory police check.

Before he was set to take the stage, he tweeted: “I’m sorry but I won’t be performing.

“The Festival Police (Not Rolling Loud) made it mandatory that I had to be policed and checked to get on the stadium grounds.

“I do not and will not ever settle for being policed to do my job and give you guys a great show.”

It comes after it was revealed that police found a 70lb stash of marijuana and weapons aboard rapper Juice Wrld’s jet on the night that he died.

Two 9mm pistols, 40-calibre pistol, a high capacity ammunition magazine and metal-piercing bullets were also found stashed on board.

The rapper, real name Jarad Higgins, died of a suspected opioid overdose earlier this month after landing in his private jet in Chicago.

The 21-year-old had just touched down at Midway International Airport, where federal agents had been waiting to search his plane after receiving a tip-off that there were guns on board.

He died just six days after celebrating his 21st birthday.

Lil Wayne paid tribute to Juice Wrld on Sunday as he rolled up a joint in a video.

Wayne took a moment to motion a cross over his chest, saying “Rest In Peace Juice” and remembering the late rapper by listening to listened to “Fine China”, the collaboration between Juice WRLD and Future.
