Fetty Wap broke down crying on Monday as he addressed the death of his four-year-old daughter, Lauren Maxwell.
The cause of death has yet to be revealed.
Fetty – real name Willie Junior Maxwell II – begged his fans to flood social media with ‘butterflies’ because his daughter loved them, in an emotional video.
The 30-year-old also thanked his followers for their supportive words following the tragic death of his daughter, which was announced over the weekend.
He also shared a photo of the child, who he shares with US dancer Turquoise Miami, with the caption: ‘Hey mini me (My Twin)…. I love you to the moon and back forever and ever bestfriend.’
Earlier, in a clip posted on Instagram, he told fans: ‘Man. Man. Thank y’all, yeah? That’s love. I appreciate ya’ll, for real. Damn. That’s love. She’d be happy as hell.’
The rapper was seen clutching a photograph of Lauren whom he called his ‘little twin.’

‘Thank y’all, yeah? I appreciate y’all. Look at my little twin right there. Will y’all do me a favor, though? For real. Y’all can do me a favor? Just post all butterflies. All butterflies. Shorty loved butterflies. Look at my little baby. Look at my little twin right there. I love you,’ he said.
Turquoise announced the sad news on her Instagram account this weekend, but she did not reveal when or how Lauren died.

Alongside a short clip of Lauren in a swimming pool, Turquoise added the caption: ‘This is my amazing ,beautiful , funny , vibrant, loving ,talented , smart and hardheaded princess mermaid Aquarius.’
‘If you see this post scrolling by with her comment or just say to yourself ‘i love you LAUREN’ because they say that souls can feel your love #rip.’
She also asked that fans be kinder to Fetty Wap after questions about his commitment as a father were raised.
The dancer wrote on her Instagram Story: ‘It couldn’t hurt Some of y’all to be a little bit more compassionate, you don’t have to kick a man while he’s down’.

It is believed the little girl passed in June but there has been no confirmation yet.
Following a performance at Miami’s Rolling Loud festival last month, Fetty wrote on his Instagram Story: ‘LoLo daddy did that s*** for you last night baby girl.’
The rapper reportedly has a total of six children by five different mothers. Their names are Aydin, 10, Zaviera, 6, Khari, 5, Amani, 5, and Zy, born in 2018.
Fetty is believed to be single. In September 2019, he married model Leandra K. Gonzalez in a private ceremony but they split in March 2020.

In October, the My Way hitmaker took to social media to pay tribute to his brother, Twyshon Depew, after he was shot and killed in New Jersey aged 26.
