Rachel Zoe defends five-year-old son's long hair following mommy shamer attacks

Rachel Zoe has described how she claps back at mommy shamers who take aim at her son’s hair.

The fashion designer revealed online trolls have been telling her to chop off five-year-old Kaius’ long locks, in an interview with PEOPLE. 

‘I think anyone who takes the time to insult someone’s child is pretty much a horrific human being,’ said the 48-year-old on Thursday.

The reality TV star continued: ‘A few days ago, someone said something [on Instagram] like, “You know, Rachel, I think at this point your kids are old enough to where they’re going to start being made fun of for their long hair. You should really cut it and be nice to your sons.”‘ 

‘I responded with, “Please unfollow me.“’

Zoe clarified that Kaius’ hairstyle was very much his own choice: ‘For the record, my son thinks he has cool surfer hair.’ 

‘At the end of the day, it’s not like I’m torturing him. He loves his hair. He thinks it’s cool.’

As well as Kaius, Rachel also shares eight-year-old Skyler with husband of 23 years, Rodger Berman. 

In March, it was announced she is taking on the reality television world for a second time, and will be starring in a new fashion competition series.

It’s been six years since Zoe last popped up on television screens with The Rachel Zoe Project, but the wait for more of the blonde beauty is finally over.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rachel will be teaming up with MGM Television to create the show.

And with a creative twist, designs by each of the show’s competitors will be for sale immediately following each episode.

Rachel will be working with MGM producer and chairman Mark Burnett, 58, to make it all possible.

The series is so far unnamed and where it will stream is still unknown, but it will bring together designers from around the world to collaborate.
