Rachel Riley: Pregnant star speaks on bizarre ‘c**k scratchings' revelation ‘Anyone else?’

Rachel Riley, 33, who is pregnant with her first child with husband Pasha Kovalev, sent her 656,000 Twitter followers into a frenzy when she posted a snap of a menu whilst dining out at a restaurant last night. The Countdown star could not help but address a certain dish on offer, which was an alternative to pork scratchings. Sharing a photo of the menu, Rachel revealed the restaurant provided “cock scratchings” instead of regular scratchings. The blonde beauty teased: “Anyone else having extra “c**k scratchings” on their dinner tonight?!”

In view of her 423,000 followers, she captioned the post: “Almost eight months cooked and hiding places getting harder to come by…More #CatsDoesCountdown on the way though!”

Rachel wore a black sequin maternity dress, which clung to her curves and highlighted her growing bump, in the social media snap.

Her face could not be seen in the picture.

Fans inundated the blonde beauty with messages, as one person gushed: “You’re blooming Rachel. You still look lovely on Countdown. Great wardrobe of lovely dresses. It won’t be long now.”

A second person quipped: “Just wait until they’re here and they’re three years old and you’re trying to hide from them for some peace – they ALWAYS track you down!”

Another person added: “Haven’t lost your sense of humour.”

Elsewhere, the mum-to-be was spotted going “undercover” as a Poppy Appeal collector when she launched the Royal British Legion’s 2019 campaign in Salford, last week.

The Countdown star teamed up with some of the Legion’s 40,000 poppy sellers to shine a light on their fundraising efforts and to mark its 100th year.

“I’ve gone undercover as part of the Royal British Legion and GCHQ’s Operation Poppy to highlight the hard work and dedication of the 40,000 Poppy Appeal collectors who give up their time each year, and to shine a spotlight on our armed forces who sacrifice so much to serve our country,” Rachel explained.

She was also joined by comedian Eddie Izzard for the fundraising exercise.

Countdown airs weekdays on Channel 4 at 2.10pm.
