Rachel Riley: Pregnant Countdown star gives intimate baby update ‘That’s a new one’

Rachel Riley, 33, and Pasha Kovalev, 39, are set to become first-time parents this year with the Countdown star’s due date set for December. Giving an update on her pregnancy journey today, Rachel took to Twitter and told her fans their baby was “hiccuping” on her anatomy. In view of her 653,000 followers, the blonde beauty tweeted: “Currently have an in-womb baby hiccuping on my vagina… well that’s a new one,” followed by a laughing face emoji. Fans rushed to comment on the post, with one person writing: “That sounds like something @jimmycarr would say!”

“That is the very first time I have ever seen those words, in that order, ever. Brilliant! Thank you for a chuckle,” another person replied.

While a third Twitter user added: “Our new baby arrived last week. My wife can totally agree with the weird hiccuping sensations. Then they find the bladder as a squeeze toy!”

More recently, Rachel attended a charity event called Street Child to mark International Day of the Girl.

According to HELLO! magazine, the maths whizz revealed she and husband Pasha are aware of their unborn child’s gender but plan to keep it under wraps for as long as possible.

Rachel first met her husband Pasha back in 2013 when they partnered on Strictly Come Dancing.

She subsequently split from her husband after the series ended and later struck up a romance with the professional dancer.

She accompanied the cheeky swipe with video footage of Nick trying his hand at baking but it appeared things were not going to plan.

In one section, the Channel 4 host attempted to prepare cake mixture but it seemingly went horribly wrong as he produced burnt offerings.

Fans flocked to comment, as one person said: “Well, the proof is in the pudding Rachel! You need to go on and show him how it should be done.”

Another person commented: “Aww bless him! He wasn’t THAT bad…”

Countdown airs weekdays on Channel 4 at 2.10pm.
