Rachel Riley: Countdown star cradles bump after speaking out on bizarre pregnancy moment

Rachel Riley, 33, was positively glowing as she smiled for cameras at The Baby Show in London. The Countdown host, who is expecting her first baby with husband Pasha Kovalev, 39, opted for a wintry look when she attended the event yesterday (Saturday, October 19). Rachel put on a cosy display in a white knitted dress, which she paired with thick black tights. The blonde beauty accessorised with matching black boots and an understated silver necklace.

Rachel added contrast with dark red lipstick and elongated her lashes with mascara.

The presenter wore her locks in loose waves around her shoulders while holding onto a pram in preparation for motherhood.

Rachel was pictured wrapping her arms around her stomach in the snaps, cradling her blossoming bump.

The star is expected to give birth in December after announcing her pregnancy on Instagram in May.

In the post, she could be seen standing in front of the famous Countdown board, as the letters spelt out the words “r tiny mate” – an anagram of the word maternity.

She captioned the picture: “Pash and I have a conundrum for you… you have till December to work it out! We’re over the moon, excited.”

Rachel’s appearance at The Baby Show comes after she opened up about a bizarre moment in her pregnancy.

The TV personality took to Twitter last week to tell her 653,000 followers her baby was “hiccuping” on her anatomy.

She tweeted: “Currently have an in-womb baby hiccuping on my vagina… well that’s a new one,” followed by a laughing face emoji.

Fans took to the comments section to share their thoughts, with one writing: “That sounds like something @jimmycarr would say!”

“That is the very first time I have ever seen those words, in that order, ever. Brilliant! Thank you for a chuckle,” another person added.

Elsewhere, Rachel recently shared an unseen photo from her Las Vegas wedding ceremony with former Strictly Come Dancing pro Pasha.

Rachel and Pasha beamed for the camera with the dancer resting his hand on the presenter’s stomach as she held up her phone and bouquet of flowers to take the picture.

The couple posed for the loved-up shot in front of a red heart printed backdrop which was covered with a golden sign reading “Love”.

Rachel explained in the caption she was inspired to post the photo in view of her 420,000 followers to mark International Day of the Girl.

She wrote in the caption: “Sharing this wedding pic with my gorgeous husband on International #DayoftheGirl as I’m one of the lucky ones!

“12 million girls are married each year (nearly one every 2 seconds) before they reach adulthood – which robs them of their right to make their own life choices.”
