From Iron Man to Avengers Assemble (okay, okay – The Avengers), Phase One of the Marvel Cinematic Universe paved the way for Kevin Feige and Co’s sprawling shared-universe project and kickstarted one of the most successful movie franchises of all time. And while the first six chapters varied in quality, Phase One certainly started and ended on a high.
In the run-up to Avengers: Endgame – the 22nd movie in the series and quite possibly the end of the MCU as we know it – we’ve been revisiting the entire saga, looking back at the legacy, best bits and shared-universe connections of each film.
