Quentin Tarantino has become a dad for the first time after his wife gave birth to a baby boy on Saturday.

The 56-year-old director and his other half Daniella Pick welcomed their first child together in Tel Aviv, according to reports.

‘Daniella and Quentin Tarantino are happy to announce the birth of their first child. A baby boy born February 22, 2020,’ a rep told TMZ.

The name of their son so-far remains under wraps.

The Pulp Fiction director secretly tied the knot to Daniella in Los Angeles in 2018 in an intimate ceremony 18 months after their engagement, with their wedding attended by some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including the likes of Uma Thurman, Bruce Willis, Samuel L Jackson, and Diane Kruger.

The couple announced they were expecting their first child together back in August, with a rep telling People: Daniella and Quentin Tarantino are very delighted to announce that they are expecting a baby.’

Quentin, and Daniella, 35, met in 2009 while the acclaimed director was promoting Inglorious Basterds.

Back in 2009, Quentin once famously said that a wife or child may get in the way of his movie-making, and told GQ that he wanted to focus on his career: ‘Here’s the thing. When I’m doing a movie, I’m not doing anything else.

‘It’s all about the movie. I don’t have a wife. I don’t have a kid. Nothing can get in my way. The whole world can go to hell and burst into flames. I don’t care. This is my life. It’s Mount Everest. If you’re climbing Mount Everest, you’re not doing anything else.’

He continued to the publication: ‘All your concerns, all the mundane things, family, any of that, it just disappears.

‘Goes away. It’s mist. It’s just nothing but the mountain, every single solitary day. I’m not saying that I’ll never get married or have a kid before I’m 60. But I’ve made a choice, so far, to go on this road alone. Because this is my time. This is my time to make movies.’
