BTS have fans in countless celebrities, from Sir Paul McCartney to John Cena – and now, they can add Queen to that list.

The legendary rock band has said that the Boy With Luv singers’ visuals ‘inspire’ them, as well as commending BTS’s effect on a generation.

Queen, fronted by Adam Lambert, are set to perform at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome on Saturday, with Brian May telling press that he was surprised about the reaction they got in Korea following the success of the Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.

The guitarist, 72, said: ‘I had only heard about how great the movie did in Korea but it was shocking to see so many people greet us at the airport.

‘It’s been awhile since we’ve heard screams from the young audience.’

The conversation at the press conference turned to K-pop, and May revealed he was impressed with the K-pop explosion.

He said: ‘I’ve learned about K-Pop in the UK and we always welcome people who use their own ways to spread a new influence to this generation. I’m sure they are going to continue to do great.’

Adam, 37, added: ‘K-Pop’s visuals are amazing. The visuals are more than just something fun to see. It gives us inspiration. I’ve seen so many amazing visuals from BTS.’

And while Brian admitted that he wasn’t as clued in on K-pop at millenials and gen X, he said: ‘It is a different generation than us but even we can feel just how great this movement is.’

It’s a big week for K-pop and particularly BTS, as the seven-piece boyband have today dropped the first single from their upcoming album Map Of The Soul: 7, Black Swan.

The track was accompanied an art film featuring a contemporary dance performance from Slovenia’s MN Dance Company.

Black Swan’s release follows the launch of Connect, BTS, an art project aiming to connect artists and fans across the world.
