Queen: Roger Taylor and Brian May on DIVIDE within band, fights and John Deacon


“There is no point in carrying on. It is impossible to replace Freddie.”

But, while Deacon played only occasionally with the band in the years which followed, officially quitting in 1997, Queen’s legacy lived on through May and Taylor.

Last year, the pair opened up on Deacon’s departure and the divide which the group had worked with in the previous years.

Looking back on the beginnings of Queen, Taylor told Mojo the bassist’s tastes set him apart from the rest of the band.
