Queen has secret Love Island connection after blue blood villa owner named

The multi-millionaire owner of the Love Island villa has been revealed as the husband of a blue-blood relation of the Queen – who has her own distant claim to the British throne.

Secrecy has shrouded the identity of the mystery German rumoured to own the luxury Majorcan property where the hit ITV2 dating series is filmed.

Today it can be revealed to be Nikolaus Broschek, the wealthy husband of Princess Ingeborg Schleswig-Holstein, a 4th-great-granddaughter of Queen Victoria.

The businessman owns the villa near the small town of Sant Llorenc des Cardassar in eastern Majorca through a Spanish company which rents it out to ITV every year.

The picturesque main property was recently refurbished for this year’s show, which premiered on June 3 and runs until the end of this month.

Casa Amor, the second villa a short walk from the main property that sees contestants get led away to be tempted by a new group of islanders, has a different owner.
