Pussycat Dolls to give first performance in a decade on X Factor Celeb

The X Factor: Celebrity live final will have a star performance from the Pussycat Dolls – with their first live performance in a decade.

The prayers of millions were answered this week with the news that the Pussycat Dolls are back and hitting the road in 2020 – but devout fans will see the ladies in action way sooner than that.

For Ashley, Nicole, Carmit, Jessica and Kimberley will perform on The X Factor on Saturday night.

The ladies looked thrilled as they confirmed the news on social media – with unofficial group leader Nicole Scherzinger, 41, gleefully announcing it in a video message.

The reunion is missing one of the original dolls – Melody Thornton

“We are so exited to perform on X Factor the finale tomorrow – make sure you tune in!” the show judge gushed as Ashley Roberts, 38, Carmit Bachar, 45, Jessica Suta, 37, and Kimberly Wyatt, 37, squealed excitedly.

Fans were almost passing out with excitement after the reveal – and flooded Twitter with declarations of love and joy.

“I can’t wait to see ma girls on stage,” tweeted one fan.

The reason for Melody’s absence from the Pussycat Dolls’ reunion is yet to be revealed

While another, who seemed to have given up any hope of seeing his idols perform together again, tweeted: “I still can’t believe it.”

The Pussycat Dolls exploded onto the music scene back in 2005 with the release of their song Don’t Cha – a sizzling RnB pop smash featuring the rap skills of music legend Busta Rhymes.

The song was a worldwide hit – topping the charts in the UK and setting the band on a path to success.

They released two albums – the multimillion selling debut PCD in 205, and 2008 follow up Doll Domination.

However the ladies split in 2010 following the completion of their Doll Domination world tour in July 2009.

There have been rumblings of fierce rivalry within the band – with Nicole often being regarded as overshadowing the other band members.

And while many are thrilled to see the ladies back, there is a Melody Thornton shaped hole in the line-up as the 35-year-old original member has refused to take part in the reunion – for reasons so far unexplained.

The X Factor: Celebrity – The Final airs on ITV tonight at 7:10pm.
