PSG chief makes fresh Neymar transfer decision ahead of January window


Paris-Saint Germain chief, Leonardo, has made a fresh transfer decision on Neymar ahead of the January transfer window.

Throughout the duration of the summer the 27-year-old was keen to leave the French capital in favour of a return to Barcelona , only two seasons after he left in a world record deal.

However, come the end of August Neymar remained a PSG player after the La Liga giants failed to come up with the funds to re-sign the star.

And, it was thought that after the summer window closed last week the situation regarding the Brazilian’s transfer was put on hold.

Neymar was the subject of a lot of speculation this summer

But, it has now been revealed that PSG’s director of football wants Neymar out of the club as soon as possible, according to Tuttosport .

The Brazilian legend is reportedly said to be tired of the speculation surrounding Neymar’s future, with the preference to offload him in January.

The forward had agreed to stay with the reigning Ligue 1 giants until next summer.

There is only four months until the window reopens in January, which means the race for Neymar’s signature could reignite.

Barcelona were favourites all summer to sign him, with Neymar preferring a return to Catalonia, but Real Madrid also express a high interest.

The bidding war between the Spanish rivals for his signature could end up being one of the most expensive in recent memory.

Neymar returned to international duty this week

Neymar spent four seasons with Barca between 2013 and 2017 where he made 186 appearances in all competitions, contributing to 105 goals and 76 assists.

Since moving to the Parcs des Princes, Neymar has continued his goal-scoring form with 51 goals in 58 appearances.
