PS4 update: Download great surprise PlayStation game bonus now

PS4 gamers have a new chance at trying out a great PlayStation game release from 2019 for free this weekend.

PlayStation Store gets regular updates, including plenty of new demos, open betas and free-to-play games.

And the latest includes a great console addition that should keep fans very busy.

While not the complete experience, RPG builder fans have the perfect trial to download and play this weekend.

The PlayStation Store has been updated by Sony to include one of the latest titles from Square Enix.

The Dragon Quest Builders 2 Jumbo Demo is now available and won’t take long to add to your digital library.

Weighing in at less than 5GB, the action role-playing demo was added to the PS Store on November 5, making it one of the latest additions.

This isn’t the first Dragon Quest demo to be made available on the PlayStation 4 console but it does offer the most gameplay any trial has so far.

Square Enix confirms that fans can explore & create alongside Malroth through hours of gameplay, including farming in Furrowfield.

However, it will up to fans to find out just how much of the full game is included in the new DQB2 experience.

“Explore the world of DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS 2 with the Jumbo Demo,” a message from Square Enix explains.

“Start by customizing your character and set off to your first encounter with the children of Hargon.

“Explore the Isle of Awakening and sail to Furrowfield to help the villagers rebuild their town!

“Do not be shy to explore young builder, as you can transfer your save data to the full version of DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS 2!”

But even with the added Jumbo Content, it should be noted that only a slice of what is available in the base game is included.

And for anyone who wants to know about the background story of Dragon Quest Builders 2, an explanation can be found below:

“The evil Children of Hargon are determined to eradicate all creators and have outlawed the building, cooking, and creation of all things.

“In an attempt to spread their destructive dogma, the calamitous cult captures the builders of the world. All hope seems to be lost until you, a young apprentice builder, manage to escape from the clutches of evil.

“After washing up on the shores of the deserted Isle of Awakening, you encounter the spirited Malroth, a mysterious youth with no memory of his past.

“With the help of your fearless new friend, you embark on a grand adventure to gather the skills required to become a full-fledged builder, but the road you build is paved with peril.

“Only you can defeat the Children of Hargon, uncover the secrets of Malroth’s past, and unravel the riddles of this mysterious land.”

And more details of the full game can be found in the official Express Online review, which adds: “The first island the player ventures onto – Furrowfield – is inhabited by a number of villagers who are simply down on their luck – their crops won’t grow, and they are regularly attacked by monsters.

“With a little helping hand from the player, this village can be rebuilt to glory once again, and its farm given a new breath of life with crops and decorations.

“The customisation is the most unique, and indeed the most enjoyable aspect of Dragon Quest Builders 2 by far.

“Players are given more-or-less complete free-reign to build their village’s houses and farm however they see fit.

“Using specific blueprints for certain buildings, players will be given a simple task – such as ‘build a farmer’s home’ – with a list of items that must be included in it. Armed with a quest, the game leaves players to their own devices.

“Rich with personal decisions and creative customisation, this is the best fun players will have with the game.”

PS4 gamers looking for something else can also download the latest PS Plus free games for November 2019.

These include Outlast 2 and Nioh, with the current Nioh 2 open beta coming to an end on November 10.
