PS4 games warning: Last chance EVER to download this PlayStation 4 classic

PS4 gamers have been warned that today is the final chance for them to download a PlayStation 4 classic from the PS Store.

Sony’s PS4 has been the most successful console of this generation, selling over 100million units since it launched back in 2013.

And arguably one of the main reasons for the PS4’s success is its enviable – and growing – selection of exclusive games.

From Bloodborne, to God of War, to Horizon Zero Dawn, to Uncharted 4, to Persona 5, to Gran Turismo Sport – the list goes on and on.

But there’s one beloved PS4 exclusive that will soon be departing the PS Store.

Today is the final day that PS4 fans can download and purchase DRIVECLUB and its big selection of DLC from the PS Store.

DRIVECLUB was initially announced during the PS4 reveal press conference back in 2013, and after being delayed launched in 2014.

It initially had a rocky start, getting mixed reviews at launch but since then a series of updates has helped address issues PS4 gamers had.

It has since grown into a competent and very fun racer that looks gorgeous and has a great selection of DLC at its disposal.

However, at the end of today DRIVECLUB and its array of DLC will be taken off the PS Store.

Sony announced this news earlier in March, saying DRIVECLUB VR and DRIVECLUB Bikes would also be taken off the PS Store as well as season passes.

The PS4 makers said DRIVECLUB would be delisted from the PS Store from August 31 2019 at 11.59pm BST.

And then next year online servers for DRIVECLUB, DRIVECLUB VR and DRIVECLUB Bikes would be shut down.

In a blog post Sony said: “Online servers for DRIVECLUB, DRIVECLUB VR and DRIVECLUB Bikes will shut down on 31st March 2020, 23:59 BST.

“All online features (including online multiplayer modes) will cease on that date.

“You will still be able to play and enjoy these games in single player offline modes. However, the games have significant amounts of online gameplay”.

They added: “PlayStation will cease selling DRIVECLUB, DRIVECLUB VR, DRIVECLUB Bikes and all DLC and season passes related to those games from 31st August 2019, at 23:59 BST.”

For those looking to purchase DRIVECLUB after today’s big cut off physical versions can still be purchased at a number of retailers.

DRIVECLUB isn’t the only PS4 game that has been taken down from the PlayStation Store.

Hideo Kojima’s Silent Hills teaser P.T was famously taken off the PS Store after Konami and the Metal Gear Solid mastermind parted ways.
