PS4 owners should soon be able to purchase another exclusive game for the console.
According to a recent leak, a new version of Marvel’s Spider-Man is coming to PS4.
The PlayStation 4 leak – which appeared on Amazon – suggests that Marvel’s Spider-Man Game of the Year Edition will launch soon.
It’s likely the Game of the Year Edition will feature the core game, as well as all post-release DLC.
This means you’ll be able to play through The Heist, Turf Wars and the Silver Lining downloadable content.
There’s no word on a release date, but chances are it will be available in time for Christmas.
The Heist sees Spider-Man tackle Felicia Hardy aka Black Cat, who has been leaving clues around Marvel’s New York to toy with our hero.
The DLC continues with Turf Wars, in which “Spider-Man must put an end to the turf war erupting between the Maggia crime family and gang leader Hammerhead before Marvel’s New York becomes its greatest casualty”.
The final DLC involves Silver Sable and her pursuit of her stolen tech.
“Silver Sable is back to reclaim her stolen Sable International tech and gear from the city’s thugs – and Spider-Man must rely on unlikely allies to protect the city from calamity,” reads the official description.
Expect additional costumes and items to be bundled with the game when it launches this year.
Marvel’s Spider-Man was recently used by PS5 system architect Mark Cerny to highlight the power of the next-gen.
The high spec PlayStation console will support 8K resolution, ray-tracing and have much faster loading times.
The speedy (or non-existent) loading times are possible thanks to the specialised solid-state drive, which will make a huge difference to processing speeds.
In Spider-Man on a PS4 Pro, for example, it can take upwards of 15 seconds to fast travel from one location to another. The PS5, on the other hand, will be able to handle the same task in less than a second.
