PS Plus October Free Games: New update for PS4 gamers with PlayStation launch

The latest PS Plus free games are available to download and play this weekend, alongside new PlayStation rewards.

The Last of Us Remastered and MLB The Show 19 are the main bonuses available om PS4 consoles in October.

But they’re not the only exclusives available to download with a PlayStation Plus subscription.

Sony frequently offers special bundles for free games that don’t require a PS Plus membership for online multiplayer.

And the latest bundles and packs can now be claimed via the PlayStation Store in October.

This includes gear for some of the PS4’s most popular free-to-play titles, including Brawlhalla and Warface.

Both games offer different online gameplay, and both skip the need for PlayStation Plus.

The Brawlhalla Bonus Pack 2 can be downloaded today and adds a range of items to your game.

The exclusive bundle includes the Dusk Legend Unlock, Raven Shaman Dusk Skin, Brynn Legend Unlock, Völsung Brynn Skin, Isaiah Legend Unlock, and Section Zero Isaiah Skin.

Another bonus pack can also be found on the PS Store for Warface, named the Galaxy PS Plus bundle.

This pack contains four Galaxy weapon skins and are applicable to the following weapons: H&K USP, SAP6, H&K MP5A5 Custom, and SAI GRY AR-15.

It’s a great time to add these cosmetics to your account, and the best bit is that unlike PS Plus games, these items won’t disappear after you end your subscription.

It follows the news regarding changes being made to Sony’s other major subscription service; PlayStation Now.

The streaming/Download service has been revamped this month to include new games and a lower price.

The good news is that it will now be cheaper to play some of the most popular PS4 games on console and PC.

The new pricing is as follows: UK: £8.99 – monthly / £22.99 – quarterly/ £49.99 – yearly (from £12.99 / (N/A) / £84.99)

And starting 1st October, the following games will be added to the PS Now service: God of War, Grand Theft Auto V, Infamous Second Son and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

These games will be available starting on 1st October until 2nd January 2020 for you to stream to your PS4 system or PC, or download to your PS4 system.

Sony didn’t mark the changes by offering a new extended trial for PlayStation Now, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t options.

A seven-day PS Now trial is still available to claim from the digital store and rolls into an ongoing subscription.

You will need either a credit/debit card or PayPal registered to your account to buy this subscription.

And for those who might have missed, the new PS Plus games are now available to download on PS4.

These include The Last of Us Remastered and MLB 19 The Show, both of which will be available until November 4.

It should be noted that The Last of Us Remastered also comes with the Left Behind DLC.

“In The Last of Us: Left Behind, new light is shed on Ellie’s relationship with Riley, her best friend and sometime-mentor from a military boarding school they grew up in together.

“After disappearing for weeks, Riley returns with a surprising revelation on her whereabouts. Ellie and Riley sneak out of school for the last time, leading to a series of events that will forever change both of their lives.”
