PlayStation Plus subscribers will have to wait a little longer to find out the free PS4 games for January 2020. Monthly PS Plus free games are traditionally revealed on the last Wednesday of the month, before finally becoming available to download less than a week later. Unfortunately, however, this isn’t the case for the January 2020 free games.
Because of the way the dates fall, the January 2020 free PS Plus games won’t be revealed until 4.30pm UK time on January 1.
The PS4 free games will be available to download less than a week later on Tuesday, January 7.
The only benefit is that wiith so many people receiving new PS4 consoles for Christmas, it gives them extra time to download the December 2019 free PS4 games.
This includes the excellent Titanfall 2, not to mention niche racing game Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame.
Titanfall 2 is undoubtedly the star of the show, earning an impressive 89% on Metacritic – as well as an 8.4 user score.
Unlike the first game, Titanfall 2 actually has a surprisingly engaging campaign mode, which was a big hit with fans and critics.

Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame, on the other hand, features a host of official courses, as well as a track editor and various online modes.
“Race on the official tracks, Daytona included, with the official riders from 250SX and 450SX to experience one of the most spectacular and entertaining racing competition ever!” reads the official description.
“Discover the Track Editor feature for endless gameplay possibilities: select your stadium, create your own track and share it online with your friends.
“Customise your rider and bike with more than 80 official brands and 300 items available and challenge yourself in conquering the top of the leaderboard.
“Race alone or against players from all over the world thought different offline and online game modes!”
As for the PlayStation Plus January 2020 free PS4 games, it’s anybody’s guess to what they might be.
PS Plus subscribers have been having some fun predicting the line-up over on Reddit, where the usual suspects all get a mention.
This includes The Order 1886, which has featured on every PS Plus prediction thread since time immemorial.
Ubisoft games like Watch Dogs 2 and Far Cry Primal both get a mention, alongside Firewatch, BioShock The Collection and Sleeping Dogs.
